Message On Mk1 2.3 Ghia Trip Display On Dash

my first post we have recently bought our second galaxy which is a 1998 2.3 ghia

which is beutifull but i do not have the owners manual so i have a message where the trip miles are on the

dashboard which reads Ino2

has anybody seen this before and can anybody tell me what it means please

On a similar theme, we have just bought a 2001 1.9tdi, also our second galaxy, also with no manual either! Where do all these manuals go?! We have a clock counting up i.e 19 hours 35 mins but have no idea what this is counting up from?! Any ideas please?! Also the dealer gave us two different keys, wasn't interested when we phoned him about it, so wondering if we can get second key re-programmed or buy a key that will work.

It is your trip computer, but you have it set to "memory" or position 2. if you use the button on the end of the stalk, you will still get instanataneous MPG but you will get average MPG over the 19 hours and 35 minutes and click again and you get the average speed over the same period of time and click again and you get total miles travelled. It will go onto 99 hours and 59 minutes then reset to zero and start again OR I think it also goes up to 999 miles before resetting.

If you press the oblong button UNDER the stalk for about 5 seconds, it will revert to one journey mode ie it gives you the instantaneous MPG, average MPG, average speed, hours travelled and distance travelled on that one journey or several journeys that one day. It resets if the car is not driven for 2 hours.

Sorry, I was wrong. If you hold the oblong "reset" button in for 5 seconds it does what it says, it resets the displays to zero. If you just press it for one second the display toggles from 1 to 2 to 1 etc. 1 being the reading for the one journey / one day and 2 being the cumulative up to 99 hours 59 minutes or 9999 miles (I think).
